This is a very nice example of a War Merit Cross KvK 1st Class in Silver with swords, manufactured by maker Hymmen & Co. of Ldenscheid, a city with a major garment accessories industry. This is one of the rarer makers of badges, and we have only ever had two items of any type made by this maker previously. This example in zinc alloy has a lovely patina, and still has much of the original silver wash present on the
