The scabbard is black enamel lacquer over wood

The muzzles of the barrels due have some deformation

In late 1944 the battalion was shipped across to Greece with Lieutenant-General Ronald Scobie and his III Corps

The fore grip has some overall wear

with an ornate hilt and brass scabbard with highly adorned fittings

This is a lovely worn example of an early WWII period American MkII Pineapple grenade. It has a great patina of age, and come equipped with a WWII period M10A2 inert fuze. There are trace amounts of paint present on the body, the main color being the iconic yellow, indicating pre 1943 production. We cannot find any green paint, so it does not look to have been overpainted later. Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery
